we have a late bloomer.
Twiggy “the strong & mighty,” is our bradford pear that Tim&I planted last January. We kind of have a policy on naming things based on their size, i.e. this year’s thanksgiving turkey, “henry,” received a name because he was 23.lbs, and I thought it only appropriate to name a turkey of that magnitude. Likewise, “Twiggy” our tiny brandford pear needed a name, to help him grow. Well, it turns out that he is a late bloomer, and little confused about when he is supposed to turn orange and red. But I have enjoyed the beautiful color in our backyard, especially in January, and thought that I would share with everyone. So, bask in the beauty of Twiggy the strong and mighty.
